Product Description

This is the Skyjiro Kiku-no-Hana Chrysanthemum 1075 Differentially Hardened Forge Folded Katana. The blade is made of 1075 high carbon steel that has been forge folded for a total layer count of over 5,400 layers. The blade has an authentic gunome-midare hamon and the boshi is a jizo style turn back in the kissaki. The kissaki itself is a geometric shaped extended chu-kissaki with sharp yokote line. The blade is finely polished to where the hamon activity and folded steel masame or linear pattern is brought out naturally using Japanese water stones. The habaki is solid white bronze as are the seppa, tsuba, menuki, and fuchi/kashira. The tsuba is an intricate cutout design and pleasing to the eye in a chysanthemum shape. The handle is wrapped with brown silk in katate-maki style tied over brown lacquered samegawa ray skin. The saya features genuine buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata, and kojiri with premium black lacquer finish. This katana has a great feel when swung with enough weight and forward point of balance to cut through medium to hard targets with ease, yet has good handling for fast direction change.

Blade: The blade of this sword has been constructed with 1075 high carbon folded steel with a hand polished blade and is differentially hardened.

Guard: The quality tsuba is solid white bronze with intricate chrysanthemum cutouts.

Handle: Traditional Japanese style katate-maki brown silk wrapped handle with real brown lacquered samegawa and double mekugi pins colored brown.

Scabbard: Made of wood with premium black lacquer finish and buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata, kojiri, and thick brown silk sageo.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
