Product Description

This is a reproduction of the Sword used by Maximus in the beginning of Gladiator. The sword is almost an exact copy of the sword used in the movie. The movies' design team created a beautifully and accurate sword of a successful Roman General with careful attention paid to the period and style of the times. The sword is finely detailed with a polished wooden pommel and a guard. This replica has been given a stainless steel blade for easier maintenance.

Blade: The blade of the sword is 440 stainless with an unsharpened edge. The blade has been constructed with the traditional cross section rhombus design. The blade has a mirror polished finish. Scabbard: The scabbard is wooden with a brown leather cover and begins with a golden scabbard throat. The drag of the sheath features the tradititional ball point design. The three carrying straps are leather with a steel hooked fastener. The carrying rings attaching the leather straps to the scabbard are solid with laurel leaves and a lion head worked into the steel. Guard: The guard of the sword is wooden with a steel fitting securing the blade to the handle. Printed on the rim of the fitting is SPQR (Rome in Latin). The guard has a total of three golden fittings each highly detailed. Handle: The handle of the sword is imitation ivory with a golden medallion in the middle of the grip. The ball pommel is beautifully recreated with golden leaves enclosing the dark wood.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
